Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin - The Central Women's Representative

There are regular plenary meetings of all women’s representatives at Humboldt-Universität. The president of the university has appointed the “steering group for equality” (Lenkungsgruppe Gleichstellung) in 2009 in order to ensure an organisation development focused on equal opportunity policy. The Central Women’s Representative is part of this group. The office of the Central Women’s Representative manages the Committee for the Promotion of Women (Kommission für Frauenförderung (KFF)) and is particularly involved in the Committee for a Family-Friendly University (Kommission Familiengerechte Hochschule (KFH)).

In addition, the Central Women’s Representative cooperates with a number of institutions within Humboldt-Universität, for example with the Centre for Transdisciplinary Gender Studies (Zentrum für transdisziplinäre Geschlechterstudien (ZtG)), the feminist department of the Referent_innenrat (frauenpolitisches Referat des Referent_innenrates der Universität) and the staff council.

Working Group "Eingruppierung Hochschulsekretariate"

It is the aim of this working group to improve the appreciation of the extended work carried out in the university’s secretary’s offices. Above all, however, the working group wants to achieve that the performance of these colleagues is matched by a fair tariff rate.
