In order to improve gender equality and make your network more family-friendly, you can use your development funds (Excellence Initiative) or DFG gender equality lump sum for measures such as:
Career Support Measures for female PhD candidates

Workshops and trainings on a variety of topics, e.g. leadership, soft skill courses etc.

Coaching for doctoral students on topics such as dissertation completion, career planning, and the transition to the postdoc phase

Participation in mentoring programmes for (post)doctoral students
Work-Life Balance and Academic Careers

Home office arrangements for PhD candidates

Setup of family rooms at HU as well as provision of equipment
