Panel Discussion "Diversity in Economics- Perspectives from Science and Practice"
On July 5th, 2023, a panel discussion on the topic "Diversity in Economics - Perspectives from Science and Practice" took place from 6.30-8 p.m. in the Heilig-Geist-Kapelle in the School of Business and Economics, Spandauer Str. 1, 10178 Berlin.
On the panel, Prof. Dr. Sulin Sardoschau (Junior Professor at the School of Business and Economics and Head of the Department of Economic Migration and Integration Research at the BIM), Lucy Larbi (management consultant and initiator of AiDiA, the first Afro-German startup pitch event), Prof. Dr. Daniel Guhl (junior professor at the School of Business and Economics and member of the Collaborative Research Center "Rationality and Competition"), Dome Ravina Olivo (trainer in the field of anti-discrimination and diversity) and Hannah Nitsch (master's student at the Faculty of Economics and former decentralised women's and equal opportunities officer at the faculty) discussed diversity and discriminatory structures in economics and the private sector.
The event was moderated by Melanie Bittner, an expert on gender, diversity and anti-discrimination culture.
