Incentive System for the Promotion of Women

Humboldt-Universität introduced a financial incentive system for the promotion of women. The system was established in Feburary 1998 and amended in 2002. Ever since, all faculties and departments have to reserve 5 % of all performance-oriented means that are not designated for staff expenditure (i.e. Sachmittel) for measures targeting the promotion of women. The allocation of these financial means is monitored by the women’s representatives in the respective functional units.
