Ceremony 2012
On 20 December 2012, Susanne Baer, Professor for Public Law and Gender Studies, was awarded the first Caroline von Humboldt Professorship.
The jury acknowledged her academic accomplishments as well as her extraordinary commitment to higher education policy. Prof Dr Shalini Randeria, Social Anthropologist, gave the keynote speech. The laudation was held by Prof Chatharine A. MacKinnon (PhD), University of Michigan Law School, who had awarded Susanne Baer the title "James W. Cook Global Law Professor". Since 2011, Susanne Baer is a judge at the Federal Constitutional Court.
