Recruitment
Female (early career) researchers are recruited at HU, in particular in fields in which they are underrepresented. .
Particular programmes should help to tie (early career) researchers to HU or systematically recruit them. Those measures address women on all career levels – from student to professor.
Some examples are short term scholarships at Humboldt Graduate School for potential PhD candidates (research track with 50% proportion of women), International Research Awards for PhD students who want to organise a research period abroad, or scholarships for the last phase of the doctorate.
For postdoctoral academics there is a W1 position programme in place as well as the Postdoc-Top-Position-Fellowship. In addition to the above, guest professorships, temporal W2 professorships and early follow-up appointments for professors (“Vorgezogene Nachfolgeberufungen”) are instrument that help to increase the proportion of women among the professors in a sustainable way.
