International Women's Day
Every year, Humboldt-Universität celebrates the International Women’s Day (8 March) with a Women’s Plenary Session on a relevant socio-political topic.
Women have, at least according to the constitution, equal rights and status. The discussion about what this actually means, however, still causes debate – for good reasons. The conception of what women are, what they can do and what they have to do are based on deeply rooted traditional gender roles. We will discuss these questions together during the Women’s Plenary Session.
All women of the university are welcome; employees are to be freed from their duty for the event.
