The equal opportunity measures are tailored to your needs and have an additional individual and/or institutional benefit for the research network (Forschungsverbund) – with potential synergy effects for HU. It is our primary objective to improve the quality and competitiveness for each and every research project. This way, you will be able to make full use of the advantages for your DFG follow-up applications.

  • You can apply for an annual lump sum of 15.000€ for gender equality measures within a DFG research network.
  • Collaborative Research Centres form an exception: they can apply for up to 30.000€ a year.
  • Programmes within the Excellence Initiative cannot apply for an equal opportunity lump sum. They are encouraged to use their general allowances for equal opportunity measures.

The DFG module for Gender Equality Measures in Research Networks serves as a basis for the application consulting service.

  • Increasing the number of female academics in leading positions

  • Qualifying female (earlystage) researchers for academic careers

  • Transforming the academic workplace into a familyfriendly environment
