Workshops

The empowerment workshop “Setting Limits!” (“Grenzen setzen!”) for women* and trans* is offered once a year since 2013.
The empowerment workshop is open to all women* and trans*, who are members of HU. The workshop taught the participants about strategies on how to react verbally, non-verbally and if necessary also physically in case of sexualised harassment. The workshop was led by Doris Liebscher and Nives Bercht.

Doris Liebscher is a jurist. Her focus lies on anti-discrimination law and culture, queerfeminist jurisprudence, racism and intersectionality. In addition, she acts as an anti-discrimination trainer.

Nives Bercht is a Wendo trainer. Wendo is a self-assertion training for women and girls covering e.g. self-confident appearance, verbal confrontation, setting limits via the use of one’s voice, body language and how to free oneself if grabbed or detained. Nives Bercht teaches at Wendo Berlin (www.wendo-berlin).
